Help for Small Businesses from the IRS
Last updated on August 26, 2014
Small businesses can get important information about their tax liabilities directly from the IRS through its webinars. The IRS conducts webinars on different topics to help taxpayers and tax professionals to gain information about tax laws. This year, the IRS is holding two webinars on small businesses on 13th May and 15th May. The webinars can be attended for free. To register for webinars, you may visit the IRS website. If you cannot attend the webinars, you will be able to watch its video on the IRS website after approximately three weeks.
The purpose of the webinars is to inform small business owners about the tax mistakes that can avoid. That will help them to avoid unintentional mistakes in their tax filing that can often lead to heavy penalty. Correct and targeted information from IRS agents can help small business owners to become aware of how they can better manage their taxes and what responsibilities they must meet to avoid non-compliance. The webinars also talk about common tax fraud schemes and unscrupulous tax preparers.
After these webinars on small businesses, webinars on depreciation basics will follow on May 28, 2014. Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) filers may be interested in attending the Reporting of Foreign Financial Accounts on the Electronic FBAR on June 4, 2014.
